Longmark

Privacy policy

Longmark is a static information site. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read, we don't sell your data, and we never ask for anything sensitive — no account numbers, wallet addresses or seed phrases. Here is exactly what happens.

This policy explains what Longmark collects and why. It is written to be read, not to be hidden behind. In short: we run a static site, we do not require an account, and we never ask for financial account numbers, wallet addresses, private keys or seed phrases. Last updated October 9, 2026.

What we collect

We measure which pages are read with Google Analytics, covered in detail in the next section. Our host records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running, as almost all websites do. If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and follow up. The newsletter box on some pages is a front-end placeholder for now; if and when it is connected to a provider, we will only use an address you enter to send the updates you asked for, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Analytics and cookies

Longmark's analytics is Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd. It gives us the pages viewed, the referring site, an approximate location (city or country), the device and browser type, and session timing. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We run it with advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation switched off, so the data is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.

Google Analytics places two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years. Neither is set until analytics is allowed.

In Europe (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — determined from the time zone your device reports), we ask before anything happens: a banner appears, and nothing is sent to Google unless you click Accept. Outside Europe, analytics is on by default, and you can switch it off at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it is treated as an opt-out. We store your choice in your browser's local storage under the key analytics-consent, not in a cookie. You can change your analytics choice whenever you like; the link reopens the banner. Google sets out its practices in its privacy policy, and offers an add-on that opts your browser out of Google Analytics.

Some outbound links are affiliate links that pass through a /go/ redirect on our own domain before sending you to the provider. When you follow one and open an account, that provider may set its own cookies and record that the referral came from us, which is how any commission is tracked. That process is run by the provider under its own privacy policy, not ours. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commercial side in full.

What we never do

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not ask for, want, or store sensitive financial data — no account numbers, no exchange or IRA logins, no wallet addresses, no seed phrases. Please never send those to us or to anyone. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete any personal data we hold about you; email us and we will help. Because privacy and financial rules differ by country and change over time, this policy may be updated, and any material change will be reflected on this page with a new date.
